Certain tasty foods have the capabilities to help prevent acne. Acne is a skin problem. The skin depends on nutrition. Therefore, acne can be a sign that something is wrong with the quality of your food. The food items below could be used to prevent acne if taken at the right time and in the right proportion.
1. Salmon fish: A source of Omega-3 oils. These are oils that contain antioxidants which help keep the skin fleshy and supple. Conditions indicating a need for more high-omega-3 foods include a dry, itchy skin – this could aid clogging of pores.

4. Watermelon: It is rich in vitamins A, B and C. It contains a lot of water which serves to hydrate the skin. Vitamin B7 (biotin), one of its content helps the body make hormones – including androgens used by the skin to produce sebum.
5. Sweet Potatoes: A source of vitamin A which among other reasons, is needed for a healthy skin.
6. Brazil nuts: Brazil nut is a rich source of dietary Selenium. According to experts, Selenium plays a key role in the health of skin cells. So much that even skin damaged by the sun may experience fewer consequences if the level of Selenium is much.
7. Crab: This is a rich source of Zinc. During puberty, there is an increased requirement for Zinc in males than in any other age group. This is due to increased hormonal production. This requirement is usually not met, making this group to be the most susceptible – as groups of researchers believes that low levels of Zinc are responsible for acne during puberty. Several studies thereafter have confirmed that Zinc is able to normalize some of the hormonal factors responsible for acne.
8. Shellfish: This is a good source of Zinc.
9. Lettuce: This is also a rich source of Zinc. An effort to overemphasize the importance of Zinc.
10. Water: Keeps the skin looking young and healthy. While the quantity an individual should take on a daily basis varies, experts continue to emphasize the good role water plays not only in skin hydration but its importance in metabolic processes.
